Our next release in our "BHM Capsule" is a graphic tee honoring the Iconic ”Khadijah James” from the 90's hit sitcom Living Single.
Living Single was produced by Yvette Lee Bowser and aired on Fox from 1993-1998. The show centered on the lives of six friends who shared their personal and professional experiences of being young and black while living together in a Brooklyn brownstone.
Born Dana Elaine Owens; The Queen has had a longstanding influential career in hip hop and entertainment. Her role as our favorite ”round the way girl” in Living Single set a standard for women in hip-hop's street fashion and style. The character of Khadijah, who was a magazine editor and entrepreneur who started her own record label, was created for Queen Latifah and her influences on the fashion and entertainment industries continue to live on with us all today.
