Movie Review: Ghost In The Shell

First and Foremost this review is spoiler free and is on the IMAX 3D version only. The 2017 live action movie, 'Ghost In The Shell' is out now. If you were bold like me you would of walked in with no fear, all excitement. My first encounter with Ghost In The Shell was it's 1995 animated movie. I enjoyed its deep, complex story and visuals. Once I seen the Trailer on the big screen I said this looks worthy of the loud surround sound with curved screen experience, IMAX 3D. I hope the Hollywood rumors of whitewashing didn't effect the people or scare them into thinking this movie is a fail like AEON FLUX (a successful action anime but failed live action movie). I know that the characters casted were some of the best suited with the talents and looks to match.

Plot: In the near future, Major (Scarlett Johansson) is the first of her kind: a human who is cyber-enhanced to be a perfect soldier devoted to stopping the world's most dangerous criminals. When terrorism reaches a new level that includes the ability to hack into people's minds and control them, Major is uniquely qualified to stop it. As she prepares to face a new enemy, Major discovers that she has been lied to, and her life was not saved. Instead, it was stolen.

It's deep combination of the Manga (books) and previous movies were successful. I sank deep in my seat not wanting to get up after credits. I highly recommend this movie, check it out in IMAX 3D before it's too late!
